Case Nueva - Our Relaxing Mountainside Townhome in New Mexico

This property offers a quiet mountain hideaway overlooking the town of Red River, NM. The mountain views include the Red River Ski Area, as well as panoramic scenery and foliage all around. At 8,750 feet above sea level, the Town of Red River is an ideal venue for cooling-off in the summer while it is still very warm at lower elevations.
 
Lodging Amenities
The end-unit townhome features two balconies for enjoying the impressive and sometimes breathtaking views. The rising and setting sun causes the shadows on the mountainsides and in the trees surrounding Casa Nueva #6 to change constantly offering fantastic photo opportunities.

Enjoy a non-smoking, two-bedroom townhome with 1.5 baths that can easily sleep six people. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and an array of cooking utensils.

You get covered parking, a wood-burning fireplace, and linens provided. The included wireless Internet, cable / satellite TV, DVD, CD player, and stereo system will keep you entertained and in touch.

One bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, and the other with a full-over-full size bunk bed.
 
Points of Interest near Casa Nueva #6

You can hike around the Middle Fork area and on the Goose Creek Trail. Middle Fork is a beautiful lake and it is possible to hike up to Wheeler Peak from there. At the end of the Red River Valley you can hike from the Ditch Cabin site up to Sawmill Park which is a beautiful meadow. Mallette Park located in the center of the Town is a great spot to enjoy a picnic and the kids you can play on the playground equipment, play tennis or a game of disc golf or hoops. The ski lift is open during the summer as well as during ski season.

There is a disc golf course on top of the ski mountain. Questa is a short 12 mile drive to the east, and is a short drive up to Cabresto Lake. A trail behind the Lake goes up to Heart Lake (a gradual climb of a few miles), where you can look over onto the Latir Lakes. You can also drive up to the Midnight meadows and mines on the road which runs from Questa to Cabresto.

The Visitors Center in Town Hall has some excellent material and documentation about the hiking trails and other available activities in and around Red River. The Red River Community House organizes guided hikes as well as tales regarding the history of Red River.
